Say YES to Velvet

I'm all about red and crimson dresses for holiday. Make it a velvet one and then we're really talking! I'm not going to say I told you so but this time last year THIS was happening. Anywho, in true Ashley fashion, I opted for a velvet number for my annual holiday party and ended up getting this  Reformation 'gemma' dress. Obsessed is an understatement. Scroll through to see a handful of similar dresses and other color options.

Reformation has become my go-to for dresses over the past year. To be honest, it's not really about the sustainability story for me, it's about the fit. Their styles just really compliment my body type, specifically my long torso. I know I can always turn to them for special occasion dresses! Sadly, this dress is out of stock but there are tons of similar versions out there like this  one on Lulus and this one from Revolve! In general, I feel like wrap dresses are super flattering on all body types and the fact that they're adjustable allows for a better fit!

Our annual holiday party is this Saturday and the fact that I have my dress and submitted our snapchat geo-filter makes me pretty proud of myself because I'm a huge procrastinator. Just need to finalize the booze, food, and decor and we're ready go to. It's going to be a fun one. Stay tuned for a few party planning posts coming next week!
