How to Celebrate Your 30s
They say time flies and holy sh*t it really does; I can't believe it's been more than a year since I celebrated my
30th birthday in Palm Springs. If you've been following me for awhile, you know I like to throw
a good party, especially when it comes to birthdays. We've got to celebrate the milestones, am I right? Whether you're about to turn 30 or celebrating the 4th anniversary of your 30th birthday, I thought I'd share some of my favorite ways to make the day special. If you don't usually go all out for your birthday, I'll give you some more low key options. Either way, 30+ is not a time to sulk or feel old, it's a time to celebrate life, let loose and feel
young again (insert
Young AF letter balloons). Now let's talk
how to celebrate:
{Go Big or Go Home}
Grab your closest friends and/or family members, rent an
Airbnb or block out rooms in a hotel and PARTAY. There is nothing more amazing than having all of your loved ones together to enjoy and celebrate your day.
- themes are always a good idea
- create a Mimosa Bar or Margarita Bar or...just a bar
- create an Itinerary for the weekend, it will get your guests super excited and make them feel special too
- floaties, cameras and champs are a must
{Relaxing Getaway}
Ok, so you may not want to go
that big. I actually like to switch off every other year and do something over the top then something a little more mellow. Why not plan a relaxing getaway with your significant other or best friend to kick off another year of life? or a staycation?
- book a hotel
- plan a spa treatment (even a mani + pedi gets your access to spa amenities)
- make a dinner reservation + get dressed up
This year I went to Catalina Island with Andy and it was so amazing. We basically played tourists, had a spa day and ate...a lot. It was perfect!

More of an adventurer than pool party girl? Pick an area you've always wanted to go (I'd recommend
Big Sur).
