LBD Style: Birthday Girl

I celebrated my birthday over the weekend and while I was trying to plan birthday activities and outfits, I thought to myself: "I see a cutesy LBD in my future." That turned into "oh I also need one for Valentine's Day & a girl's Vegas trip" and then the dollar signs started racking up. Obviously I instantly thought about The Stylist LA and how this could be a great new LBD series!

The art deco beading on this dress is INCREDIBLE and the fit is super fun and comfy. Honestly, what birthday girl doesn't want to shine on her special day? I'm all about a birthday splurge, but $375 to buy vs. $75 to borrow seems like a pretty easy decision to me.  It was tough picking the right shoes, especially after all your lovely comments on instagram! A pop of color is definitely needed for this dress, but I think a single sole heel is the way to go since there is already so much going on with the dress itself. Another option: pair with black pumps and grab a bright clutch to finish it off!


This is what I actually ended up wearing for my birthday dinner as we didn't go all out as I had once planned + I was feeling a bit under the weather.
