June Gloom

The title really should say "June gloom, get the efff out of here!" Excuse my language but I'm so over it! Anyone else? I've been in a real funk lately, totally unmotivated, drowsy... all around BLAH. Fingers crossed that we get some sun this week!

How was your weekend? If you joined me at my Simply Stylist Session I hope you had a great time and learned a ton about social media. For those of you that weren't able to make it, there will hopefully be more sessions plus I'm hoping to start posting some more tips + tricks on the blog.

After the sesh I drove up to Joshua Tree for a quick birthday celebration for one of my besties - did you follow along on snapchat?  There was some great car-eoke magic! One of the highlights of the weekend was picking up my new bike. Now I'm officially ready for summer, just waiting for the weather to cooperate.

Speaking of summer, this season it's all about rompers. You know I love me some rompers and what I love even more is finding cutesy rompers under $50. As part of the JustFab Style Panel I got the chance to peruse June's newest styles and pick out my faves, one of them being this lovely:

If you're new to the romper game here are a few tips:

* They typically show off a lot of leg; start with sleeved styles so you don't feel over-exposed.
* Don't go print crazy right off the bat; monochromatic or two-toned prints are a beginner's bff.
* Pair 'em with booties or chunky sandals for a casual look
* Strappy sandals or sky-high heels will give off a very sexy vibe
* Nude shoe styles in general will give you legs for dayzzzzz!

I don't want to say I'm a romper expert but I've definitely worn my fare share, so please tweet me with questions on styling, sizing, anything!

Btw, I posted on Facebook last night but just have to share here: I found the perfect lace-up flats for under $100. No joke I bought 3 different colors... it was a true pursuit of shoes moment!
