#BOSSBABESGETAWAY
"When women support each other, incredible things happen!"
There's nothing better than being surrounded by supportive friends, even better when they're peers and killer boss babes. This weekend our goal group came together for the inaugural #bossbabesgetaway at the W Hotel in West Beverly Hills and it's safe to say we had the most amazing time.
As a someone who runs their own business and lives the freelance life, it's really important for me to create relationships with entrepreneurs like me (hello, goal group!) to ensure that I have people other than Andy and my bffs to bounce ideas off of and relate to. Like any relationship, nurturing these new "business" relationships is a must and a great way to do so is to get everyone in one place, have some fun in the sun, evening dance parties, work sessions, and late night chats. Even if you have to plan months in advance (girls bosses are busy!), take time to put a date on the calendar with your peers to have either a weekend getaway or even a full day work sesh. You'll come away feeling so refreshed, reinvigorated, and connected to your boss babes! Also you may just want to plan an even bigger and better #bossbabesgetaway part 2 .... yes, we're all manifesting Bali 2018 at the moment... haha!
Keep scrolling to see a few fun snaps, advice to our younger selves, quotes we're living by, and essentials for the perfect getaway weekend:

Per our amazing custom for your party napkins we definitely lived the "wake up, kick ass, repeat and enjoy a cocktail or two" life over the weekend. We woke up early and answered e-mails then hit the pool in the afternoon for some much needed vitamin D and drinks! A big poolside topic was battling past friends and acquaintances who have taken advantage of us and our businesses - something I'm going to touch on more in a future freelance post (trusting people is hard!) - and the takeaway was:
The cream always rises to the top!
Cover bands don't have fans!

Definitely mantras we're chanting to ourselves over the next few months. Some other nice reminders we wrote throughout the weekend on our custom "Advice to my younger self" coasters that are totally applicable even now:
Find that things that is special and different about you then chase it!
Live it up!
You're the average of the 5 people you spend the most time with.
Find your voice!

Yup, we came away from the weekend prepped for a successful week and inspired to take over the world. Wishing you a fab and productive week ahead! A few posts from my tropical travels coming this week and guess what? The new Everyday Pursuits will be here in less than a month!!
